In the Ore Barons' House there is a Blood Blade, and it really helps if you can get in in Act 3 or 4, since no other fancy two-handed swords are available yet. I have found a way to get it using just magic, no cheating.
To do this you will need a few meatbug scrolls and preferrably at least one teleportation rune to another camp.
Walk up to the Ore Barons' cellar door (the one down the ladder near Scorpio, the back entrance does not work as well for this) and SAVE YOUR GAME, since there is a bit of luck involved here.
Equip the Transform into Meatbug Scrolls, and transform. As a meatbug, walk up to the cellar door until you're as close as possible to the door.
Hit ENTER to transform back into a human, and there's a 50 percent chance (or so) that you will be on the other side of the door when you return to human form.
If you are, repeat this same process to get through the other door that you will see in the cellar.
Grab the Blood Blade, and either teleport directly out of the room or use the meatbug method again.
The Blood Blade looks pretty good and does more damage than the other two-handers you would have found or bought at this point.

Sorry, but I consider using a graphic glitch (appearing on the other side of the door when you transform back) to be cheating. You can acquire a good 2H weapon much earlier by simply fighting an Orc - he will drop a good one.

I have to agree with Joey Nipps--this is still cheating.
I got my 2H weapon while I was just first level by having an Orc chase me back to the guards, and I let the guards kill the Orc. I got no experience, but I got a big Axe to at least damage some monsters. |

Number one, I don't consider this to be technically cheating because you use MAGIC to get to the other side, not some collision glitch that lets you slip right through the door.
Secondly, I have never, and will never, use an orcish weapon because they look like crap and can't compare to the best human weapons in terms of damage anyway. |

Custodian Blade is better than 90% of orc weapons. And they are not hard to acquire.
Get a bow. Some dext. Or magic. Near the sect camp, there is a rock (on the way up) climb up. start shooting at the guards near the sect camp. They usually fall off into the water. Custodian Blade=71 dmg.
Also, if you want a good weapon and you joined the OC, you can get one from Scar inside Ore Baron's house. If you're a guard other people wont do anything to you if you start a fight with Scar. Just push him onto a wall and keep Combo'ing him (left-right-left-right-left...) |

U guys, Just Use SCAR's Sword! This is what I did. And it can be done pretty early in the game (ch.2 maybe). Just follow these easy steps.
1) Make sure its at midnight. Open the door to Gomez's Bodyguards' room.
2) there U will see one of the 2 bodyguards standing there (Artus? somethign like that).
3)MAKE SURE U ARE STANDING OUTSIDE THE DOORWAY (if U go in, thorus will mow U down once U attack the bodyguards) Also, save here as U might not survive.
4)Shoot him with Firestorm (Or is it Fireball....Its the fire spell in which U charge up a fire ball up to 4? times before releasing it)
5) two fully charged shots of the spell should do him in.
6) THen put away your spell, walk in and take all his crap.
7) wait until its almost morning (when the bodyguards start going back to their posts)
 Wait outside the doorway with the door open and as far back as U can get.
9) as soon as SCAR is in range let him have it. U should be able to get him Once with a fully charged spell and once semi charged.
10) Take off running so he can't catch U. He will either burn to death or be weak enough for U to destroy him with your sword.
11) just take his crap and be the pimp until MUCH l8er in the game when U get axe of war (Or whatever axe is second to Troll fist). |

There is a much more simple way to do this...
Enter Ore Baron's House, attack Scar, make sure do a combo attack on him (left-right-left-right etc.) with a sword so you A) dont kill him, and B) prevent him from harming you. Take sword, X-bow, and leave. The other Barons usually won't attack you if you don't kill him. |

Orcish weapons are ugly, but effective. I spent a lot of time sticking arrows into orcs just to get their ugly, big weapons. They look pretty impressive on your back. |

I don't agree with your brand of "gameplay" in Gothic, Heat. Don't try to make me out to be a cheater.
I was simply telling people how to use magic in a useful, if somewhat unorthodox, way.
And this is just about getting a good sword, not about something like killing your own summoned creatures to gain experience. That IS cheating. |
