i suspect there's a few dozen reasons why they would take it down, some of them valid some not, in any case, i'm still enjoying the game.

as for getting stuck with clipping and all that, when i get stuck on terrain that i can't back out of i only have to turn my char around and walk forward and it's always released me, perhaps i didn't REALLY get stuck in the environment yet like some people?

either way, i'm looking forward to the patch, as for the forums, i don't really care, the forums are good for hints, otherwise too much crap on there.

There seems to be alot of confusion between "bug" and "missing feature."
For example; the inability to customize your appearance was not a bug. It was a missing feature, left out, as it were. No minimap is not a bug...towns with very few NPCs is not a bug...the inadequate quest log (not the non-updating quest log fixed in the first patch) is not a bug...the combat mechanics are not bugged...

People who do not like the game call it a buggy mess. People who like the game feel a little sad at some of the feature decisions.

Is it relevant whether you classify some of these things as "bugs" or "missing features"? I think it's quite reasonable for players to call buttons that are in the game (and the manual) but simply don't work a "bug". Either way, the distinction is irrelevant - any professional outfit would have made the very simple changes required to the UI before shipping and players don't care what you call it - they know someone still dropped the ball.

For the record, all these things are minor compared to other fundamental design flaws but the game does have some good moments.
