Gothic 2 Addon: No rumor - a fact

Without giving away details, <a href="http://www.jowood.de/" target="_blank">JoWooD</a> confirms <b>that there will be a Gothic 2 addon</b>. The according newsbit in german language can be found <a href="http://www.yiya.de/games/news/" target="_blank">here</a> at Yiya.de.

No, first we get our AddOn *g* sorry, just kidding! We haven't heard any news about the US release, so it is still slated for a spring release. PBs must be sooooo busy with the addon at the moment, they don't answer any email I send them...

Well, while I'm ecstatic about an add-on I'd kinda, you know, like to play the damn game first! Good news yet frustrating all at the same time...

Mike Hoge also confirmed that PB is working on the add on. And on the organizational stuff for Gothic III.

It's getting really old waiting and waiting for this game, that was, several months ago almost done if I remember correctly. Nothing but voice overs, and the original release shot to hell leaves me skeptical if it'll ever be released in the States.

This isnīt PBīs problem. JoWooD is the publisher. The publisher is responsible for marketing and distribution. All PB can do is work on the next product.

Gorath,

Is it your view that PB has actually produced the release Gothic2 package to Jowood and the ball is now completely in their (JoWoods) court?

Additional info: The Gothic 2 addon should be released at the end of May (at least in Germany)

Of course I donīt know it for sure, but my interpretation of the indications is that the English version is only waiting for JoWooDīs decision to release it. If enough of JoWooD survived to handle the international marketing and distribution in an adequate way is another story.

Cant Wait!!

Well, I have mine preordered and can't wait to play. I will look forward to the addon after Ive played it. Its also great to hear that a Gothic 3 is in the works, beacause I will buy it too. Lots of great games are coming out of other Countries, the US devs need to get to work.
