DOH!

My second day of playing game... Besides getting my ass kicked by everything but scavengers and not being able to do any quests because I suck. Can anyone write a brief tutorial on how to go about the first few things? I lose track.... Oh yeah, how can I get to my journal?

You'll find JemyM's very useful FAQ here.
If you haven't remapped all your keys, then it's 'l' or 'n'. Both work.

To access your journal, just press "n" (or was it "m"?)
You don't need to win all the fights, sometimes it's better to lure your attacker near the guards. And don't worry, in the end YOU will be The Boss.

Note about the jornal:
press "l" or "n" to bring the jornal page. select what do you want to know and press "Enter"! choose the quest you want to look and press again "Enter" to look all the notes you received. "Esc" to go back

About the first "enter" part, you can also use the right arrow key to go to the subdirectories. Press the left arrow to go back to the main part again.

Do you go right? Or do you go left? A simple decision, yes? No ambiguities. Only the dream of the path not taken! And so one might stand in this place and contemplate for a long while. What will I miss if I go left? What will I lose if I go right? And in my indecision, have I chosen a worse fate?

In fact, it's very few of the first quests that REQUIRES you to beat up anything/anyone.. can be avoided! But, sometime, you'll have to face the nature.. and some Molerats

Just start out by killing Molerats, Scavengers and, maybe, Bloodflies.. Stay away from Wolfes and anything that looks more dangerous until you feel a bit stronger

JemyM's FAQ is good, but i would rather do the game on my own than stick to a Walkthrough.. but, thats just me

Yeah, the faq is good, but it ruins the gameplay. Only in the very ending, where you can easily loose the track, it can be very useful.

if you dont wanna use the FAQ look for quests that requre no fighting... like some of the old camp quests. or get mordrag or baal... whatever his name is to take you to the new/sect camp respectively. they will kill all the monsters on the way and you will get the xp.
