Im trying to find this guy to take with me on the shiptrip to dragonisland. I saw lester somewhere but dont remember where. Please, help me.

I don't think he is still in the valley... By the fifth chapter he climbs up from his hole and awaits somewhere in front of the tower. |

Go to Xardas tower.
Stand with you back against the tower, follow the path keep looking to the left until you see an small basin of water.
There's a cave near the water go into the cave follow the path in the cave untill you see an big forest.
Look for an camp fire, near the camp fire you can find Lester. |

So. I'm in Chapter 3. I met Lester outside the pass, and he gave me these flashy rune. Cool. So I zap to Xardas' tower. But this Lester fellow ain't there. yet he said he'd meet me here. He stood me up, didn't he? 
Anyway, this is actually a serious question. Is he supposed to be there, outside the tower? Cause if he is, I can't find him.

In chapter 3 he goes back down into his valley. He comes out again in chapter 5. You don't really need him again until then.

I hope this will consolodate together what I think everyone is trying to say in this thread.
Lester can be found in chap. 1 in the valley below Xardas' tower. If you speak to him and suggest he speak to Xardas about what he saw in the colony pre-G2 and wait till you have gone to the city and come back he will then be asleep in Xardas' tower and Xardas will give you a ring to protect you from magic plus some exp points. (I don't recall how many but something like 25 exp.)
If you don't go and speak with Lester he remains in the valley until he appears at the pass entrance post your first visit back to the prison colony to hand you the rune to teleport back to Xardas.
After that whether or not you have spoken to him in chapter one he then goes back to his orginal place back in the valley until after your last return from the colony where he will be near the small body of water you travel past to enter the cave that takes you into the valley that Lester has been camping at . He will give you Xardas' letter and remain there in the same place until you invite him to accompany you on the ship to vanquish the undead dragon on the Isle of Idorath (sp). |
