Also, if you hold down Tab then you can use your mouse to move around your character and the wheel to zoom in/out. Reverts back to 'behind the head' when you let go, though.

I find it very difficult to play 3rd person becaue you can't tell where the crosshairs are in relation to the world. I certainly would not like to try to read a book in a store because you might pick up something instead and get caught for stealing. Also very hard to aim missile weapons.

I dont know of you but Third person IN MORROWIND only is annoying it depressed me when I look to that thin character without a single muscle. Gothic Was Better. But I Like morrowind I'm starting playing it now.

I liked playing in 3rd person in Morrowind. In later levels you get some cool looking armor and weapons, it's pretty nice to look at your avatar in action

But I agree about the crosshairs. I usually switched from 3rd to first person whenever using missile weapons, and trying to get items on the ground or on shelves.

I played nearly only in 1st p. view.
But i liked to press and hold tab while running and just watch my character moving in beautiful new armor or with nice new weapon :].

I like first person also.
Have you noticed that if you sell your "beautiful new armor" to some vendors, they will put it on themselves and will keep wearing it.
