Random Items
   

<font size=10 color=gray face="copperplate gothic bold, bookman old style, courier">Can anyone tell me what exact event causes random items to be re-randomized (so to speak)? I had opened a chest in the sunken ship in Bayjin Shallows and didn't like what I saw. I loaded an earlier save in the hopes that over time it would reset the random items in the chest. I went back about 10 game days later and still had the same items in the chest. <font size=10 face= color=orange>What a downer.</font>

Everything for an area is determined when you enter it for the first time. After that, coming and going has no effect. You'd have to go all the way back to a save from before you entered Bayjin Shallows for the first time.

PS- some people spent LOTS of time getting good stuff out of that chest. A few got good stuff on their first try. I never got nuttin good...
