@EverythingXen and goshuto: When you only give me half the story, I get creative. Just ask Jaz about that.

@Ammon: Level 10

That's why I gave you the important half of the story. I covered all the critical stuff and the rest I always welcome creative input on.

I'm usually not that cliche. I tend to prefer something more... subtle.

It would be nice to have it prior to starting, yes.

< ammon is relieved that it wont be his dreaded arch-enemy Tiamat >

Well, good. There is nothing like a DM telling you at level one five minutes into the game:

"And there arises out of the broiling waters the BIGGEST dragon you have ever seen! BEHOLD! TIAMAT! Your new arch-enemy! and he starts running after you. The faster you run, the faster the dragon flies. You come to brick wall with a door in it. It looks like a chapel. What do you do?"

I said, "I push open the door."

"The door doesnt budge," he says.

"Okey, i try to bash it down!" i said.

"It wont come down."

"You didnt roll anything," complained me.

"I know, but its a metal door," he says.

"Oh. Well then, i try to unlock the door with my picklocks."

"You cant," the bastard says. "Its a metal door and it doesnt have a keyhole."

"umm, then i... how far away did you say Tiamat was?"

"Oh! He's coming," he says.

"Okey then. I want to try pulling open the door again," i says.

"Pulling this time? It opens easily," the idiotic DM says.

"What?!? Why didnt it open before?"

"Because you were pushing it, not pulling," he says.

And thats when i realized that i would rather die to Tiamat than go through this kind of unnusual method of torture.[/spoiler]

Sily question, but isn't Tiamat a she? For some reason I've always thought so ... wonder where that idea came from ... it's been over 25 years since I first read a description ... could I have been wrong all those years?

Tiamat is a she (as much as such terminology applies to gods anyways). In D&D she's the goddess of evil dragons and Bahumat is the god of good dragons. They're both Babylonian in origin, if I recall correctly.

Need to find 15 minutes while not at work to fill in the sheet. It's fully statted out in my head, of course, so it's a matter of filling in the blanks.

Thanks Xen. It's nice to know that I wasn't wrong all those years.
