How do Summon spells work? |
|
Is it possible to summon more than one creature?
So could I summon a little army of goblin skeletons?
I am thinking of playing again as a mage but to try something different and take all the summon spells. Do most of my damage through my pets.
I think that could be very fun. |

You can summon as many as you want. However, unlike in Gothic, the things you summon will only last a certain amount of time. I was actually disappointed by this time limit, as it prevents players from summoning an army since they die off so quickly. Also, if you summon more than one type of creature, they might attack each other. _________________ I am the founder and former leader of a guild in EQ, retired member of The Code in EQ, original member of KOE in AOE2, past Corporal of EVO in MOHAA, respected veteran of UT 2003, a conquerer of all decent games, and an aspiring game developer.

Ya the monsters only last about a minute. In addition to that, everything in the damn game attacks em on site. They also attack everything in game on sight. So, for example, if you're standing between a farmer and a field raider, when you bring up a skeleton, both the raider and the farmer will come running to attack your pet.
In other words, you can't do a lot of fights with pets because they'll end up killing friendly people. |

Also, you won't get XP for killing your own spawned creatures (unlike in Gothic I) you also won't be able to take the claws, fur and teeth of a summoned wolf when its death.
If you summon a skeleton and kill it you are able to take his sword. |
