I need information from Gothic. But it's been a while since I've last played, and the cd is no longer in my possesion.

1)What's the name of a shadow that gives you your first quest(the one in which you have to buy a sword of Fisk)?
2)I would appreciate any info on how the south tower had collapsed.. The more details the better.

The reason is not important. Not yet, anyway

About the Collapsed Tower... The Earthquake would be my guess, but as Val said it's never explained, one can only assume.

The Gothic Comic Book explained why the south tower had collapsed. It was mainly the fault of Milten (who dropped a bag of ore the 'gang'* had stolen) and Drago the Firemage (who sent a fireball after the 'burglars').
Boom.
The theft of the ore was part of a greater plan to bring down their arch-enemy Brabak (who was at the time the leader of Gomez's guard).

___________
* Diego, Gorn, Lester, Milten and an unnamed female slave of Gomez

No, they didn't. Read the official Gothic I comic book to find out the whole truth.
