Spoilers!!!!!

Okay I have finished the game as a Magician, a Necromancer with the Wave(Ring) of Death Rune. I did the Shadow->Guard->Fire Mage->Water Mage-> Necromancer plan. Now I have restarted and joined as a brotherhood member. It seems a little harder but interesting. I still have to ask, whats the limitation on this type of character, I am probably going to go for templar, but can you become a Guru? Whats the limitations there?
I know level four magics is the limit for Brotherhood members...am I the first one to try it this way?

After Y'Berian's death, you go to the water mages just like your other games.
At this point the game gets very linear.
No separate quests etc...

No, you can't become a guru. Why would you want to anyway? All they get to do is wear a dress and stand around teaching the ways of the sleeper.

I am enjoying playing as a templar from the sect camp. I inserted a gurus robe and now I am calling myself a Guru of the Order of the Freedom Sect and now I sleep in the temple. I am currently enjoying chapter five as I am looking for the rogue guru that left my camp, you see after he left and Yberion died I claimed the camp for my own. So far I have not ran into anything I couldn't handle but many times my strategies have to be more creative, I don't get to kill as many things nor do I want to. The key to the sect strategy is to not want to be the most powerful thing in the land but the most cunning. Why do you thing the sect camp is were most of the animal scrolls are for sail.
Also even though I am only a mage of the fourth circle, It does not stop me using scrolls that are in higher circles as runes.
