It's possible to teleport a few meters ahead. Go marvin, then press 'k' to free yourself.

See the room with the spikes? Stand outside and shoot the target. A wall should lower inside the room with a new target in the hole. Shoot it. You'll see a cutscene that shows you that two new gates are now opened. Inside the new room, use the switches in the same order as you've used before. That should solve the problem.

If you press the switches in the wrong order a lesser demon appears.
You can keep doing this as much as you want to and get heaps of experience.

I think you can reach unlimited level if you keep fighting the demons. I've never really tried it though.

I think the level limit is 100 if you don't cheat but that would take forever to reach.

Why cheat in level when you can cheat in strength? I did that and killed everyone and everything that was mortal with my fist.

LOL... the best way to level is edit your strength to 500+, Defense vs. weapons to 300+, and HP to about 900. then go marvin, insert either scar's sword (1handed, 85 damage) or Innos's Rage (2handed, 110 damage) depending on what weapon you are speced in. After that, insert about 10 trolls at once, and kill them all. 2000 XP each, and you get all the skill points for the levels. no easier way to do it. but then again, thats cheating.

There is no honor in cheating.

Killing the demons is not a cheat. It is a fair way to reach level 100.
Why even insert trolls to kill when you can just adjust what level you are and how much experience you have by cheating.

That may not be cheating, but it's exploiting the system. Using exploits to level isn't exactly regarded as fair, either.

Sometimes it's necessary to use a cheat when a bug gets you stuck, for example, but cheating for sport ain't the way to play a game. I played through my first three tours of Gothic without even knowing a single cheat, and only after I had played the game I went to see what fun things I could do with cheats.

It's not exploiting the system. What if you're really dumb and keep stuffing the order up.

Everyone is allowed to do as he please but if you want to play fair you
should cheat only if you are sure that there is no other way to go on...
After you finished the game fair you can cheat just for fun..
hey it is not a rule everyone do what they want... Im not a saint either
but didnt used a cheat in Gothic. play with honor
