The Matrix Online: Server Merge Announced
   

The official 'The Matrix Online' website has <a href="http://thematrixonline.warnerbros.com/web/live/news_display.jsp?id=072705_ServerReconfiguration" target="_blank">news</a> that the current nine worlds of the game will be merged into three new worlds. Details at the link above.

Lack of players.
   

Nobody is playing Matrix Online. No surprise. The game is mediocre.

This didn't take long to happen. I agree with the previous poster. There's simply nothing that makes Matrix stand above anything else out there. It seems to lack.. something. It's interesting to play for a short time, but about as good as horizons after that.

You create a character. You are dropped into the world. You kill things to get levels and loot. It is all the same. It is just dressed up with different names for "spells" "skills" and such. This formula is successful because it is simple but a few other games do it better. New games that use this same, simple formula will suffer.
