I found Dexter just by accident, i was just exploring the fields where those crawlers are...and suddenly i spotted this tower.and i just wanted to get there ...i eventually found Dexter and heard his awesome story about a vague person wearing black and a hood with a mask and having a un-human voice...sounds cool..definitely wanna meet that fella 
anyway, should i kill Dexter or follow his advice and leave?
i already killed dexter on a different save...but is this the right thing to do?

this guy he is talking about is a seeker...
and there is more than one of them... there hunders of them!
after you have been to the valley of mines, you wil meet them.
there easy to beat, but they wil make it impossible fot you to sleep (you will get nightmares and people will get angry at you).
and... where is the tower of dexter

Hmmm well, try to find that hunter that wants bread,ham and cheese ...it's the hunter that is close to the cave of minecrawlers and close to that troll.....it's close to the fella that sells sheep too...a pad up leads to it.

that hunter is easy to find!
when you are at Onar's farm, go to the fieldraders cave (the thing you helped Fester with)
there is a path to the left of it, continue over that path till you get to a campfire, just go down and you~ll see the hunter.
and there are 2 trolls to the right then!

To the best of my knowledge, once you've spoken to Dexter and heard his story, he and his bandits serve no other purpose.
I'm replaying the game myself and I just got done wiping out the whole camp. Good XP!

yeah the bandit's aren't too bad as you can even take them out in groups instead of all at one. it's the skeleton in the cave nearby that i had problems with (hadda go back in later chapters) |

You can kill them all, they serve no purpose at all.
What I have not tried is this: Dexter tells that if he wont kill you, then the Seekers will kill him. Later, when Torlof tells you about the Seekers and how they went towards Dexter's camp, there's one of them up there. I wonder whether it would kill all bandits and Dexter, if I would let them stay alive? Never tried it, as I didn't want to pass all that XP
And Dexter, the dirty rat, that's the "thanks" I get for getting to him Cor Calom's receipe in Gothic 1?? I smacked him just for that, ingrateful git as he is... |

there's a trail behind the main tower where dexter is which leads to the right and towards a mine with loads of undead. personally i'd avoid it during early chapters (incidentally it's marked on the cave map of khorinis or whatever it's called) |
