I had finished Gothic 2 for 2 times, and i had reached with the paladin level 41 and with the mercenary level 40, but a friend of mine, that is plaing Gothic 2 sice it was released, said that the maximum level is 55!
Is that posible?

I think it is possible. My highest level was 43. If a player kills as much as his power lets him he could gain 50+ Levels but its very hard.

Try this to find out(but only if you have free time):Near the end of the game you have to turn some switches inside some rooms in order a large gate to open.......In such a room if you turn the switches wrong a poisonous gass licks inside the room and also some goblins appear.I think you get the point.
Turn wrong the switches.
In gothic 1 that was so easy and you killed a demon for 600 XP every time
you gained at least 3 levels in some minutes!!!!!SWEAT!

I got 2 levels by being patient in that room, but I think it's the one with the skelton warriors. Either way, it's a good place for last chapter experience. The highest I got was alvl 43 dragon hunter. I suppose if you kill every living thing on the map you could get to 50 or so.

The better room for XP is the one where if you push the switches in the wrong order two Shadow Warriors spawn. Now there's some XP!

Yes there is loads of exp in the valley of mines, also i killed all the paladins in the vom.

Im not sure but i heard the limit was lvl 50 to finish oh and i hated that poison gas room it was a complete waste of time

50 was the limit ? hmm maybe but u could allways call those black paladins in the last chapter and slash them down to get exp |
