Is it okay to do this? or is this part of an important quest that i havent reached yet? i know its a stupid question but i dont want to inadvertantly break an important mission later in the game...

I picked up an old treasure map from the mapmaker while i was there which shows some treasure thats supposedly hidden up near the old maya-type pyramids. Now ive been up there and searched for ages but i cant seem to find anything at all... there was a cave quite near where the 'X' is on my map, but there wasnt anything particularly great in there so i'm thinking thats probably not it. Is there really any treasure there or was the mapmaker guy having me on?

The sword you've found in the blueish light is the strongest, two-handed weapon that's available to any guild. Just take, it's not involved in any quest. But you'll need to run very fast I guess.

Yes, there is a treasure! In the cave you can find a leather satchel in a chest. In the leather bag is not only gold, but also a Ring of Invincibility. Beware, when you return to exit of the cave, though .It can get nasty.

Ahh ok thanks very much all, i have the sword from the top of the pyramid (orcslayer or whetever its called) and the ring from inside the cave (and yes sem i jumped out of my skin when i went to leave lol) I figured niether of theose were the treasure because when you look at the map when standing inside the cave, the 'x' isnt where your guy is. I guess thats just because the map and the in-game landscape arent perfectly syncronised or something, ah well, at least i dont have to spend any more time seaching around lol

Now i just have to go and kill these damn dragons in the Valley of Mines should be interesting! ive noticed te game has just got a whole lot harder after chapter 3, Ive just about cleared the whole of khorinis of orcs and then i'm going to make my way to the dragons. I'm lvl37 right now so hopefully ill be good enough to take them on!

Thanks again for the help

38 now

Basically i have just been clearing the map COMPLETELY of all enemies inbetween chapters. I'm sort of wishing i hadnt now though because my character is getting to be a little too tough. I can just walk into a group of orcs/lizardmen and demolish them with not much trouble And the first dragon ive just killed (swamp) was pretty easy..

You will get a chance to put your strength to the test in the future, don't worry.

Are you holding back some news about the addon!?

I was level 45 on the most when I finished the game and that was after a lot of pickpocketing. Without that, only killing animals and so, I'm something like 40-42 when I finish.

Me holding back information? Nay. And, if I were, I couldn't possibly tell you, now could I. I was just thinking how the swamp dragon is by far the easiest one to beat...

I started with the strongest of them, but they were all just weak, it was harder to get to them than killing them

About the treasure map, i never finnished that one but i came to some conclution's
First the top of the pyramid is not where the X is marked on the map.
But rather if you lok at the map there is a red line marked on the map
wich sems to follow a ledge wich i never found a way to get up to.
Annebody else tryed this?
