A Brazen Thief and Info for Garvell + more strange questions

A Brazen thief is on my failed list. I think because i let him go and did not turn him in by Andre.
Did i miss something importand?

Info for Garvell:
I can't find the info about the Paladins. I talked to the ranger and got 2 bits of info about the orcs (worth 25 xp each).

Where can i find the info about the Paladins? I talked to Andre before i talked to Garvell, does tht have anything to do with it?

Another strange thing is that i still have the quest about getting into the upper quarters, but i already been there because i'm the apprentence of Bosper. Is there something missing here?

How can i get into Valentino's house to use the key i beat out of him?

You are right about the Brazen thief quest, if you let him go it will count as failed, even though you may have gotten back the purse.

I think the next piece of info will only be available when are to go on to chapter 2 (I gather from what you said that you are still in chapter 1).

To get the quest for the upper quater done, you must have had a talk with Lord Hagen, if I remember rightly, and be sent off to go to the mine valley.

To use Valentinos key you must get into his house at night, while no one sees you and by using the skill sneaking (can be learned either in the thieves guild or from Bartok, the former apprentice of Bosper).

To find Valentino's secret chest, turn the lantern in the 2nd floor of his house. It's a switch, and opens a room in the 1st floor where the chest is hidden.
