ive made it the whole murder investigation quest and i found some book that says that some ppl r meeting in level 4 wheres that and what else do i do in this quest i also got a note w/ some wierd riddle w/ numbers or something |

Hopefully you have activated all the teleporters. Go to one that says undergroud lake. It's where the rebel camp is. Head in that direction and the cut scene will come. You have to be a little more specific about the note. There are a lot of them in this place. Makes you wonder where the wood comes from.

You should have had a short scene with the Snake Lady in the City by the pyramid shaped machine outside of the store and crypt. She should have showed you how to activate the things for yourself, and the instructions on the rune signs should be in your log book. If not you need to go to the City and see the King to activate this scene. Do this now or you will lose the story line. I'm finding it hard from your post to figure out where you are in the story so I can be more direct in my answers. Hope this helps, but if not I'll be glad to try again, unless someone else can jump in here.

ok ill try to explain this better i just started the quest and the snake ladies still in the library in the castle and all ive figured out is that marias daughter was kidnapped and about the cult and the guy dying and all ive got is a book telling some guy to bring someone w/ him to the snake pillar or something on level four and a letter that says like 6 becomes 4 when... given to me by the guy in the lab near the library. ok so thats it |

O.K. So as I can make out you have two things going at the same time. The note about the numbers is the combination for the safe in Falon's room. Go back to castle and finish this stuff first. Go talk to Felnor, the King, open the safe inFalons room, then talk to everyone again, including the Snake Lady in the Library there. After that, go outside and Snake lady should do the teleport stuff. After that you have to save the child by going to level 4 underground lake and find the snake piller in the caves. You really need to save after you get the cut scene there, because saving the girl is hard. But good Exp. Points. Then go back to castle and talk to all of them, including the guy in prison. Do this stuff first and if you need more help I'll be glad to do so.

He is the guy that they talked about was killed. He has room upstairs in castle of Arx. There are placards on the wall next to the doors to tell you who's room is who's.

The key to the chest in that room is in the crypt. So you don't waste time trying to get in without it.

You will have to play out the game more before Carlos gives you the key. If he did already, it is in the town square near Maria's shop. You sound really frustrated, so might I suggest you download the PDF file. It has all quests, stats, maps, walkthroughs, items, majic, you need. It doesn't really spoil the game at all. The walkthrough is more of a guide to help you stay on track. I used it as a reference to check myself after finishing sections of the game on my own first. The maps are great as they list what is in each room. This game is fun but the lack of ingame direction can make you mad and ready to give up. You should enjoy it, not want to toss it. You decide. If you want to keep coming to the boards, we are glad to help. Just want you to have fun in ARX.

ok.. ive been playing out the game 4 awhile and carlos isnt giving me any key hes just sayig hes found nothing out about the murder or something. i really havent gotten anywhere since i started this forum |

I really want to help you! Did you go and save the girl? Did you go back in the castle and open the safe in Falon O. room? The safe is in the wall behind a curtain. To do that go see the king first, then go talk to the snake lady, and while your are in the library read all her books. Then walk past her into the chemists room and talk to that guy. When you leave him talk to snake lady again. Now go to Falan's room and open safe and head back to king, here you should get cut scene. Do that first and let me know and we can go from there. Don't worry about saving the little girl right now, just finish this part first.

No...like i said i havent done anything yet i need to know how to get into the crypt because its locked. |

You have to go into the castle again, talk to king, snake lady, then the chemist in the room behind her, then talk to snake lady, then go upstairs in castle and open the safe in Falon O. room, then go back to king. You can not get any farther until you do all that. This should get you a cut scene to the Counsil Room and you learn what to do next in there. You will not get key to crypt until other things get done first.
