SPOILERS:
I'm in chapter 6: after get URIZIAL and the Ore armor, I used the fire rune to teleport back to the old camp. When I arrived, Bartholo started up a conversation: just when he was mentioning Stone, two other guards started attacking me, with Bartholo joining (since I used Urizial, they're all dead). The keys I picked up from Diego's corpse are my problem: the chest keys work fine, but the door keys (to the two locked doors in the inner castle courtyard) don't do anything. I just try to use the door, correct? Is this a bug, or am I not using the keys correctly/looking in the wrong place?

Diego? Don't you mean Gomez? You need to kill Gomez and get his key to release Stone.

Woops, right, meant Gomez. I was able to release Stone just fine, but I still couldn't open the door in the smithy (next to Skip) and the door with a ladder leading down to it surrounded by ore.
Anyway, just beat the game. Was damn fun. |

The door in the blacksmith shop does not open. Ever. You have to exploit a bug or cheat to gain access to that room. There is not much in there though.
However, if you have the keys from Gomez and Bartholo (and you didn't drop them), then you should be able to unlock the door at the bottom of that ladder.

Stone is locked up in the dungeon because he spoke out against the Fire Mages being murdered.
