Would this be possible?

I was wondering if this is possible to do. The tree textures in gothic obviously use some common texture pallette. I was wondering if it was possible to replace the trees and bushes of gothic 2 into gothic 1 or improve the details of the trees and shrubs in gothic 1. Especially since Gothic and Gothic 2 use an almost identical game engine.

Is this possible to do?

Well, in the end everything is possible, but there is no toolset for the G2 engine and definitions have changed.

It's possible but extremely difficult without the source.

I've got a feeling the trees were modified in the German Gothic I mod, die Bedrohung.
