Brotherhood of Steel Toolbar

Check out the toolbar I made for Internet Explorer. Any other members of the BOS that want to use it, can do so with a few simple steps. I was suprised how easy it was. It looks kinda crappy because it's a jpg. The real file is a bmp and looks alot better!

First things first, you have to go get Windows Power Toys' "Tweak Ui". Install it.
heres the link for getting XP's-

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Then, grab the "BrotherhoodOfSteelToolbar.bmp" you will use as the toolbar bg, that I have put up.
I would save it right into Windows itself just to keep things straightforward.

http://home.ripway.com/2004-3/85150/BrotherhoodOfSteelToolbar02.bmp

Finally, run the Tweak Ui program. In there you should have an Internet Explorer section. Expand it, then choose "Toolbar Background". Check "use custom Background" and go find the bg in the windows folder.

Revel at the glory that is, the Brotherhood Of Steel =]

edit- changed the size of the actual bmp itself. The first one was a huge file, the current one is trimmed way down!

Thanks Sammy, I've been with getting bored with the standard toolbar. I might do some Pipboy versions since this looks so easy.

EDIT: You're an evil little tiger, Sammy. Now I'm addicted...

You're welcome!
Nice, Val! Geez, you went nuts, you prolly have 20 of them by now
So many Pips, so little time..

I really am starting to like that one I made, it's such an enhancement over the abysmal grey default color. reminded me of concrete or something.

More like 30.
That's an hour of my life that I'll never get back.

Some of the better ones:

I just need to find a way to make them randomly switch each time I open a new explorer window.

Nice!
Yes, this is addictive indeed! The possibilities are infinite ='.'=
You noticed the other things you can change as well, right?
Im thinking about what I could replace that little windows sign with, upper right.
Where the Wild Things Are, Mainzer Cat(for Sister Sam), and Nessie!

That Mainzer Dressed Cats site I linked to is great. Early 1950'ish anthromorphs, cool Americana style. Many, Many of them too, make sure you scroll down all the way to the gallery.
"Outdoor Scenes" is prolly my fave one

And the Dogwitch

The smoke from her left eye will have some symbol moving gif instead of that lame flag

This artist is great, I love this style of totally bombastic comic art. Er graphic novel art

Okay, the Where the Wild Things Are themes are cool. The kitties are nice.
Psycho lady is too freaky. That may be a good theme around Halloween, but I'll stick with the Cowgirl theme I made last night.

That toolbar is definately you, Lawanda.

I've now got a toolbar that I think I'll stick with. It's perfect for me.

Good old Rosie. She's a classic.

Dang, that's cool Val!
'ol Rosie the riveter is a great symbol of that era, an era long gone. She is one of the Varga girls that were common on WW2 aircraft.
Makes me think some old jet "nose art" might make a good one too.

nice site, Bombergirl
