Minions of Mirth: Beta Update

Not only does he make technical tweaks, but the core focus of the Beta is to add more and more content and he's doing it in spades. I'm a little confused about this game. Is it a single player AND mmorpg? I'm not much into online games. Does the single player have it's own story and quests? Thanks.

It can be played SP, you can host or join a server or Prairie runs a persistent server. I don't think there's much of a story at this pount but thee's lots of quests.

The single player is the same as the MMORG version other than the fact that you are the only PC around The single player does not require any Internet connection, of course.

They are currently working on a story line mega-quest for the game. Part of it is already in the Beta and more is coming every day or so!

The game creator has added a scripting language to the game, so whoever wants to add content to it may do so, things such as Quests and Items can be added and changed.

The combat does not really appeal to me, I don't know about the rest of the game, the creator needs to work a little bit more with Moods and Music, the enviorment seems to be too dull and empty (The waypoint where you start off has a little town which is very hard to navigate and doesn't look too good, there are barely any monsters in the area), and the graphics are very laggy, the game doesn't have the best graphics in the world, and that is why I expect this game to not be laggy on a 1.5ghz 256mbram and 128 video ram, even though it is. These are the bad points, I quit playing the alpha, especially due to the lag, I even lowered pretty much all the settings, and it still lagged much!

Sorry for giving out bad impressions, but a man has go to do what a man has go to do. And if these things do change in the near future, consider me a Player.

There are MASSIVE changes from the Alpha, and I have not noticed any lag since the change to the new server. Remember, it's STILL only a Beta and ONE person is doing most of the work. Hold the negative comments till the final release is made.
