furthermore it says, that Gothic II is finished by 80% already. PB/Phenomedia is heading for a May release, but JoWood [the publisher] wants in-depth beta testing, so a release later in 2002 is more likely.

I think the extra beta testing is a good idea. Gothic 2 looks like it's going to be quite larger and that means more bugs can sneak in. Extensive testing means less problems in the long run. And heaven knows we don't want a repeat of the Pool of Radiance incident. I can wait if it means my gaming experience isn't interupted by annoying crashes. |

Don't put the cart before the horse. You'll have pleeeeeenty of time to finish Gothic thirty times over before you ever even see Gothic 2 in stores. |
