A way around the level cap?!?

I think I thought of a way around the level cap (besides cheating of course). Your level is based on the advancement of your major and minor skills, right? Once they are maxxed out at 100, no more level advancement is possible unless you can find a way to lower those skills.

Well, there is one way built into the game that can permanently lower your skills. GO TO JAIL! That's right, as near as I can tell, when you go to jail for an extended period, your skills drop but your level doesn't. So if you've reached 100 in all major and minor skills, enough jail time will lower those by 10 points allowing another level gain! You could potentially do this over and over, increasing your level indefinitely!

I haven't tested it yet and I don't plan on exploiting it, but it's pretty funny if you think about it. The most all-powerful being walking the earth and the only way you can improve is by going to prison!

For those who don't mind to use cheats, the command

player->enableclassmenu

in console allows you to completely recustomize your character. You can change the major/minor skills and your focus without affecting the skill levels (they just switch place).

But this is a very extreme measure

You can read some books too, you still gain towards levelling if it's supposed to add to a skill and it's 100 provided it's major or minor.

And there's a slight undocumented 'feature' about trainers that will let you level indefinitly.

Although I have no idea why people wanna level very high when you can probably beat the living shit out of anything at level 20 and can count yourself as a walking god before you are even 50

cheers
