my guess is your not strong enough, level up by hunting for a while, and get more strength and a better weapon, first time I did this quest I was about 35 strength and using a light 2-hander

Yes, you need more Str and a better weapon. Both add directly to your damage. 20 points more (combined) and it will look differently.

I take it your playing as a melee warrior?

Should be sinking level up points into strength and one-handed weapon training. IIRC, you should be around 20-30 strength with Lvl1 or Lvl 2 one-handed weapon training to handle that quest well. Even so, don't try to take on more than one or two at a time.

Hereīs a simple way to improve your situation:
Visit the Swamp Camp. Lure a shark to the guard near the swamp. Try it again until the shark wins. Then pick up the guardīs crossbow and his custodianīs blade. Now level up until you can wield this 2h weapon. This doubles your damage. The sword is good enough for the next chapters.

Strength makes all the difference. If you're melee based, I recomend getting to 100 as soon as possible. Weapon damage is nice, but I did kill the entire minecrawler colony with a 4 damage pickaxe without much difficulty. Strength is what's holding you back right now.
