Some of My Favortie RPG Gaming "Mod" Websites

Judging from the amount of e-mail I've received from friends and family regarding questions about where to go for "Game Mods" to spice up their gaming experiences, I thought I'd take a moment or two and share some of my personal recommendations for excellent "Mods"...

For those looking to "spice up" Bethesda's excellent Pirates Of The Caribbean...check out this link to "Pirates Ahoy" - covers not only POTC, but many other "Pirate Games" as well... (NOTE: I did NOT say "Pirated Games").

I have mentioned this in our forums, but for those who play and love Microsoft's Freelancer...an outstanding website is "Lancer's Reactor" for all of your Freelancer needs:-)

If I had to give an award for the best Neverwinter Nights website...without question, I'd personally give such an award to the good folks over at Neverwinter Vault...a definite "must see" for any NWN fan...and from their latest reviews - I'd make a guess that they will also branch out to become one of the best Dragon Wars fansites as well...

Another outstanding website for those with a need to "mod up" Morrowind would be Morrowind Summit (of course)...BTW - at last look - Morrowind Summit was still "down" for maintenance...

Insofar as the Legendary Baldur's Gate (both I & II)...there are four outstanding websites that come to mind (and in no certain order of preference)...Wesley Weimer's BG2 Mods website - which also has Icewind Dale II "Mods"...then there are the Forgotten Wars "Mods & Projects" - which are still ongoing at their website...in addition, there is the favoite of both my Associate Dhruin and myself - the legendary Sorcerer's Place - a fantastic RPG gaming site hosting mods, patches, and other "goodies" for a variety of great RPG games beyond Baldur's Gate...and, last but not least, no mention of Baldur's Gate "Modding" would be complete without the group who (basically) started it all, the talented individuals over at TeamBG

For those individuals looking for something a bit different to add to their Greyhawk: The Temple Of Elemental Evil...the talented folks over at The Circle Of Eight can set you up nicely...

No need to be redundant... if you are looking for "Mods" to add to your Star Wars KoTOR saga...check out my newsbit from last night entitled "Add New Life to Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic".

I am just touching the tip of the iceberg, as it were, with the few game "Mod Sites" I've listed...to be sure, there are many other excellent websites out there that specialize in modding a variety of different gaming titles. Be that as it may...I certainly hope you'll stop by some of these sites and "shop around"...you never know what you may find:-)

BG2 fans may also wish to visit Pocket Plane Group at http://www.pocketplane.net . Over a dozen mods late of Forgotten Wars are now housed and developed at PPG.
