What is in the blue light large chest?

I went into a cave that is well hidden behind brush past the idol in the northern corner next to the black troll camp. It has stairs leading up to it in a big room and 2 statues and has like 4 or 5 blue lights shining down. There is a chest in the middle and it MUST be some UBER loot because it is an impressive room. Anyway, I can't open it. It says I need the key. I checked every area in the cave and could not find a key on any bodies. I thought maybe the black troll might have dropped it in the cave next door but nothing.

Where do I get the key? and what is in this chest? I am a paladin so I don't know if it would be of any use to me.

I think it involves a Fire Mage quest...

yeap that's right if you do a quest to become a firemage you'll get to this cave.

Black light is right.To fill up your curiosity the chest has inside it only a blank rune.
