Constipation

Where do all the citizens of the empire relive themselves? I have yet to see one bathroom, outhouse, or general excretion hole! My character is suffering from some serious discomfort!!!!

The NPC's never eat or sleep so why would they sheet?

I expected a lot more realism, but oh well....I am absorbed into it anyways.

Hmm, an outhouse mod sounds fun. Put a few goodies down the hole and see who will dive in!

People in those days (whatever those days are) didn't have bathrooms. Up until just a century ago, people would take care of business into their bed pans and then toss it through the window onto the street. All streets had canals for drainage (if they were paved) or the "stuff" was just left to be absorbed into the soil or washed off with first rain. This is why Black Death was so rampant.

Only most prestigious places like major castles had "defocation holes" that were basically nothing more than a hole drilled through the wall under an angle, and you took care of the "business" into it. AFAIK they didn't flush.

Good ol' days, eh?

But this is the Elder Scrolls they should have at the very least holes that lead to Oblivion, that would be a fairly simple solution to Sanitation needs, dump all your crap on the Daedra

MoonDragon:

They did do it in bedpans & toss the stuff away, but thats just what we find in the game - all kinds of pots&pans and a selling value of 1$... makes you think what they were used for...

This was only one of the major reasons why the "black death" came in on a rampage, another would be killing all the stray cats (as rat spread it, but they thought it was the cats) , and yet another would be the habit of not bathing more than once every 2 years (as it was considered dangerous to take a bath).

Before I saw the muck sponges, I thought the muck in the baskets were feces. Dung is good for potions.

Heres a question, where are all the FISH and BIRDS? These damn games never have normal wildlife!! I want to see chicken eggs. Kwamas... I mean, if you lived in morrowind, would you want a scrambeled Kwama omlette?

How bout a Spicy Bacon(no bacon either) McKwama? Blegh

Who cares about wildlife. This is why we play these games to escape real life. Stop comparing games to real life. Before you know it we will be playing real life and what fun is that?

The potty room pots and bedpans are probably special. As someone mentioned earlier it could go into oblivion. Like maybe magic pills or potions dropped into the "bathroom" pots make all the sewage disappear. Or get purified in some kind of medieval reverse osmosis.

Who cares? I do. Thats enough to make it important!
Take some mushrooms if you want to escape reality....
And swords are in your rpgs. Youd probably complain if they replace blades with "fantasy sticks" in the future.

I'm talking abour REALISM DAMMIT!!! And I was putting some humor in it by bringing up appealing foods.

All these brilliant programmers bust their ass just to make games more REAL. And wildlife is part of the ambience of the game. In gothic, all the birds were flightless, but they still had diverse wildlife that served as low-level obstacles for exp gaining, and sources of food and money. You know youd like to see something fluttering around as you run around.

I CARE DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sims is a simulation. Rpgs are slowly crossing over into simulations too. Notice how the mercantile system works in Morrowind. Thats a simulation within an rpg.
