| Game crashed when touching the papers after selecting sign.. |

Iv got the game today and I made my character and when the dude says take the papers and takem to the pirate, I press the activate button and it dumps me to the desktop. Has this happened to anybody? I think I saw a mod which skips the tut parts, any1 know where I can find it? |

It is strange bug. I never heard about it, so it seems that it is not bug, but something wrong in your installation.
Do you have latest drivers?
If yes, I suggest to
1) uninstall
2) defragment your HD (if you did not defragmented it before frist install)
3) install again, maybe it is something like corrupted file |

thnx Ill try that but will it really help? I mean Ive never defranmented my hd to run a game..
Can you avoid that part of the game? Can I make my own mod so that I can skip that part |

I do not know. If it will be necessary, I can create (not yet, I have not this game yet) character you want and send it to you.
First game that was very allergic to not deframented HD was Dungeon Siege. I met more than ten cases when uninstall, defragmentation and reinstall helped. But you are right that it is not common isue.
I think that reinstallation itself can help (if problem is in corrupted file). Defragmentation is just to be sure... |

I'v read something in the news section that theres going to be an unoffical patch that gives an option that removes the tut part. Hope itll come out soon |

I dont think theyre making this for bugs, They wrote that it would be for people who dont want to bother with the tus and just start the game with their char.. |
