Eve Online: Interview @ Game Chronicles

Game Chronicles sat down for a chat with Mike Wallis, senior producer of Eve Online. It's quite an interesting read for those who are already playing the game or those still having doubts before they subscribe. A little excerpt for those too lazy to click on the link:

As for the future of EVE Online, are there any plans to release an expansion pack or introduce new content through patches?
We are discussing our first expansion pack and what we would like to have it include. We don’t want the xpacks to be simply new content, but true expansions, such as additional race(s) and gameplay mechanics. New content, such as graphics or audio, will be done through regular downloads in the form of patches. It’s important to remember that EVE is still new and we want to fully stabilize things (design and balancing, not server code or performance, which is already top-notch) before adding new content.

Head this way for the full interview.

I just started Eve Online and it actually is a fun game. Of course it takes some time to started with it, complex systems like Market and Corporations make it interesting.

I hope they do not release any expansions any time soon. The game is still too young and some systems are not working fully yet (bugs and missing features). I hope they finalize the current features first (like adding of Stock Market) before considering any expansions.

Also more experienced people are calling for more content. The game has HUGE potential.

I hope Eve succeeds well.

Btw, you can message me in Eve where I play as "Nova Star" in our own corporation called "The Knights who Say Ni"
