I was reading a FAQ and the writer said something about not being able to complete the game if named Templars or other Names NPC's die in the mines.
While running from the bugs (in the game, not the code), the smelter (the guy at the bellows) got killed. I looted his body and went about my business. Since then I've played quite a bit and don't want to start over.
Does anyone know if the smelter can die without any adverse effects to the game? I'm not even sure why the named Templars need to live (because I tried to avoid the spoilers).
P.S. I was looking for a way to cook the raw meat, while I'm here...can anyone tell me how?
Thanks.

dunno about your first question, sure some of the more experienced guys can help...
but, as for how to cook meat, just go to a campfire in the OC..I think there's others, too..some fires will have a "pan" over them, which you can select..i.e. when you look down, "pan" will appear over the item...just get close and then use the pan..your guy will automatically fry up some chops.!!

Thanks!
Is there a purpose to the kettles (the big pots) or water buckets? Also, I can't seem to get ore out of the nuggets. I keep smashing away but I don't get any nuggets. I can understand if the developers don't want you to have "free" ore but that doesn't stop me from trying.

The water buckets are part of the 'Crude Sword' smelting process. |
