Quest to get artifacts from pottery guy in Ald'ruhn???

I am doing a quest to get some evidence of trafficing artifacts for the new guy who loves pottery in Ald'ruhn. The giver is the seer in Buckmoth Ft and no one gives any info besides "odd fellow really loves his pottery" or "He is new to town and not sure about him" no other dialogue offered and there is only pottery and ebony nuggets in his house. What am I missing here?

On the table behind the Pot lover hidden behind some of the pots is an artifact, it's easier to see if you jump on top of the table, loot that artifact without him seeing you and take it back to the Fort. Don't feel dumb, I bet I spent more time looking for it than you.
