The Vivendi Universal site has a short promo piece for the 'World of Warcraft' Euro release that reveals current sales of 700,000 units. With the Euro launch about to hit, will WoW surpass 1 million subscribers? |

Exactly. And sales do not reflect those who quit after the free 30 days.
Everyone who plays/played Diablo 2 on Battle Net bought World of Warcraft. This represents a huge chunk of sales.
The problem is, Diablo 2 is free of monthly charges and WoW is not. Many will decide not to pay for grinding levels and finding items and others simply cannot afford to. |

You don't really think I'm that silly, do you? I have no doubt that WoW will surpass 1 million sales worldwide, so my questions was - can it achieve 1 million subscribers? Perhaps the answer is no - we will see. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |

I don't know. Whether or not they have subscribers doesn't matter that much when you have over 1 000 000 people shelling out $50 for a game. |
