I need directions

ok I need help with the mage guild quest about finding the guy and getting him to join the Mage Guild and if he doesn't then kill him. he's supposed to be near a lake...and I'm at the lake you get the flowers for the cat mage from. so please help head me in the right direction or tell me if you need more info. thanks guys!

if i remember right, he is in stupiland.......the big lake that you are suppossed to goto is straight east of fort mammoth.....then you have to north a little ways and it should be a cave on the left....look hard.

You should have in your journal directions to take the road northeast of the lake. Do so. Punabi is just slightly north of the lake, as it turns out. Be sure to stick to the road.
