Yes... it is at night time all the ore diggers and shadow gather around up top and there was 2 guys fighting in the arena i saw it only 2 times since i was playing gothic no one wins they just keep hitting each other and moving back and stuff  |

As a matter of fact, I read somewhere that in German version of gothic you were able to place bets on fights. I dunnot know which fights, nor if this is true, but think about this: Why can you ask Scatty if you could place a bet if it wasn' t meant for you to place them at some point; anyway, maybe developers droped the idea at the last minute |

It's not true. You can't bet on fights in the German version, either.
Unless you 'marvin' your fights yourself  .
