I can't seem to find any posts on what level people got to when completing the game. Do you aways get 10 skill points a level or goes this increase at later levels?

It would be nice to know thoughly how many skill points are available in the game. As I am just at the decision as to mage/guard and what to go down the mage path, but am wondering if I should pick up two handed sword and crossbow before I fire mage....

I know I got marvin for the skill points but cheating defeats the point of playing the game to me.

You get 10 skill points each time you increase in level. Not more.
I was... level 32 when I finished the game, I guess.
In NPC terms, the average OC guard in light armor is level 10, the average guard in medium armor is level 15, the heavies are levels 20 to 50, and some people are level 999 .

I was level 37...
But many exp. points you get nearly at the end of game. I ended with 40 exp. points and I had no use for them.
I was somthing like mage/ranger:
- enough mana for recasting min. 5 times every spell
- 6th circle of magic
- master of bow
- enough dext. to be very good with bow

If you keep it honest and gain experience from quests and fighting hostile monsters, you will max out at level 32-34, like I always have.

A few pussy-asses like to summon skeletons, golems, and demons and then kill their own creatures for experience. This method can supposedly get you in the mid 40s range.

I never do this, but I won't be the one to tell you what to do in your own game. Even if this practice is cheap, cowardly, underhanded, and utterly idiotic.

I never hit 40. I guess if I did all the quest I could have.
The ones that did reach 40 and over probably killed 100 fire demons with the switch bug thing
