Is it me or does this game remind anyone else of Ultima IX and Ultima Online...
Cook your own food
Make your own weapons
Lockpicking, Pickpocketing, Sneaking
Skinning, Clawing, Fanging,
Finishing Moves, Politics, Different Camps with their own ideas...
This game has Attack Skills, Magic Skills, Archery Skills, Trade Skills and the graphics... 'nuff said.
When I finished the game the 1st time and credits were done rolling by, it took me about 3 blinks to realize the game was done and that I had to reroll...couldnt let the fun end after only 4 short days.
Damn, I hope:
There is a sequel
It is multiplayer |

I myself hope there wont be multiplayer, unless somehow it doesnt draw from the single player. IMO theres already enough MP RPGs, and Gothic is the first single player one that I've played that really grabbed me, and felt real.
If they made it MP then the great AI would be wasted, and I feel that would be a great shame to the RPG world.
Anyway thats how I feel on this.

Yea but its like...you finish the game
and you finish the game
and you finish the game again
how many more times can you finish it?
Its like Diablo, after you get all those goodies and stuff, you want to show them off with other players...
and this game WOULD make an amazing mmorpg |

Yeah, it might make a good MMORPG, but theres enough of them out there, and there not everyones cup of tea. I wouldnt mind playing one, but I dont have the money to spend on pay for play games, so Gothic is just right for me. It comes as close to a MP RPG as you can get with a single player RPG. |

Besides, then you'd have to worry about newbie friendliness..High level guys from different camps could raid your camp and slaughter newbies..
With Gothic as single player, each person can go at their own pace.....there's no rush now, and if you get your arse kicked, it's your own fault..
