Has anyone been able to turn undead? |
|
I chose the Ritual birthsign because I wanted to be an undead hunter. But I could never make my Blessed Word or Blessed Touch abilities work.
I figured I must be doing something wrong, so I made an enchanted Ring of Turning item. Now I can launch turn undead at a skeleton champion twenty times in a row, hitting it square in the chest--to no effect.
I know others have had this problem, too.
What I want to know is if anyone's been able to make it work right.
This is an awesome game. I'm not complaining.

I'm just confirming that i fave neither been able to do it with the spell & 100 skill to top that if it matters. This would (could) be a usefull skill as a rpg element in the game if one would be a paladin etc. type, but generally most people have no need to turn the undead as they are way too easy to slay even for wery low level chars. I mostly wish they wouldn't run from my blade _________________ - Of all the worlds there must be - why was i born on this one? -

I haven't been able to get it to work either, an idea on why it dosen't work, I believe it works by raising the flee variable for that creature, but I don't know how the flee variable affects the likelyhood that the creature will flee. Maybe a creature has to have a really high flee variable to actually run.? |

I wonder if it raises the flee rating just fine...
...but the devs forgot to give flee ratings to any creatures.

Demoralizing Humaniod or Creature |
|
It seems to me that demoralizing a humaniod is easier than demoralizing a creature. However, in the manual (pg. 31) it states that undead, daedra, and artifacts are not affected by these types of spells. Maybe turn undead does not demoralize undead because they have no flee rating. Has anyone tried to use the turn undead spells on humans or creatures? _________________ = Member of The Nonflamers' Guild =

I once got frenzy to work on the lady who has the Fortify Athletics +5 Belt (In Pelagaid) I cast it on her once, then drew my weapon and she attacked me before I could get the first blow off, thus preventing me from getting a bounty. _________________ Make good choices. |

Well without a flee rating I suppose they wouldn't flee unless the spell works some other way, I wish I could figure out how to view spell scripts... |
