I am also getting an Access Violation problem, but it only happens when alot of sound channels are being used, ie, alot of monsters at once. I've tried all the other access violation fixes and none of them worked and the only time it seemed to get by this problem (as far as I could tell), was to disable the sound. But the crash occurs from the MSS32.dll file which is one of the Miles Sound System files. I already tried changing all the sound settings and all the different sound providers, but none of those work. I notice alot of people with SB Audigys are having this problem (I have one as well). If anyone is having this problem then please post me a reply and any fix they might of found. Thanks. |

The correct sound provider is DirectSound HW with reverb disabled.
Search the forum for more detailed infos. Everything about mss32.dll has been said before.

Yeah...duh...I already saw all the other posts or I wouldn't be posting this. I'm giving insight on what I've found. And no, changing the sound to DirectSound and disabling Fog does not work, if you've read some of the other posts you might of seen that that doesn't work for everyone. |
