A few questions about Morrowind

1.) How does wearing armour effect other areas of the game besides defense in fighting. Ie why shouldn't I just wear the best armour all the time (heavy)?

2.) Is there a way to easily see items lying on the ground when they are hard to see (like in a dark dungeon or underwater). I almost missed the Thief ring in the dungeon near Seyda Neen because it was hard to see. Is there something similar to the labeling in Diablo II or Dungeon Siege?

3.) Why can I not rent a room at the Inn in Seyda Neen. People say I can get food and a room there but I can't seem to get anything out of the owner except items.

4.) Could this game be any cooler?

1) fatigue, speed, visual quality (possibly this affects reactino of people)
2) no, I think
3) no, you can not get this in first village
4) no (ok, maybe yes, but if we will look for details, we will find mistakes everywhere)

First I registered just so you know that it was me who posted this topic

I have a Athlon 750, 384mb, GeForce 256 DDR and I can run the game at 1024x768 with no shadows, AI low and distance at around 1/3. Usually outside I get around 10-15fps and inside around 30fps. I don't mind the performance but I was wondering what would help me the most. A new video card or a new cpu?

The unofficial patch didn't really seem to help me all that much. I guess a 15% performance increase over nothing is still nothing

You should upgrade both. But if you are asking like that, then graphic card upgrade should be more helpful.

Regarding question 2: Isnt there a "detect item" spell? I am sure I heard about it some time ago on the official forums: makes items show up in your map...

Regarding upgrade: How much can you spend? You might be best off getting a new (but not top of the line) CPU and a new (but not top of the line) graphics card. The lower AthlonXP or the better Durons are almost dirt cheap, and a Radeon LE or a GF3 200 are affordable, too.

Which dungeon did you find the ring? Where is it located from Seyda Neen?
Thanks

Look in your minor or major skills. If you are wearing heavy armor and medium armor is in your major skills then you will not fight as well or defend in heavy. You always want to build skills in major above anything then minor and last misc skills.

It's at the bottom of the hill behind the stilt rider in Seyda Neen.
