morrowind problem

I just got Morrowind yesterday and I'm having trouble with it. When you first start out in the boat. When I get to the hatch and click on it the screen goes all white with the sound still playing or it will just frezze up. Anyone get any ideas?

That's almost always video driver issues. Install the latest and greatest for your video card and see if that does the trick.
