I have decided to up the difficulty of notr significantly for myself this is what I am up to:
I am currently on my 2nd play through of NOTR and I must admit advancing strength and dex at the same rate and restricting myself to 34% fighter status in one-hand and having joined the monestary, but with the intent of being a swordsman has upped the difficulty to about where I want it. Now at lvl 23 I go to face the dragons. I have about 64 dex and 62 strength including my jewelry, I am circle three(though I barely have enough mana to cast any 3rd circle spells) 54% in one hand (10 from sword and 10 from ring) and I wear the begining mage armour (40/40/20/20) because the high mage armour is to protective. I also have all thievery skills. Now this is fun every orc is life or death, hell a pack of wolves can knock me down a couple pegs if I am not careful. I am really trying to avoid god-like status and keep combat as realistic as I feel a human good attain.
If you feel like notr still isn't hard enough try heavily restricting the gameplay style such as I have it is a blast.
That is what I am up to and it is a lot of fun compared to just plowing head-long through ranks of orcs.

I have been limiting myself for a long time to increase gameplay interest. A fun one in NOTR is to play as a mage, but use the 5 10 rule. You can only spend 5 exp. for every 10 exp. you earn, but you can use them as you wish.
NOTR made the mage much harder, but I found ways to become uber mage very quickly. This game pretty much prevent that from happening, but you have to be honest and use the 5 10 rule. _________________ Chris: Dad, what's the blow-hole for?
