Can you beat people up in Morrowind. Like in Gothic, there you could beat people up for there money, and they were still alive untill you kill them.
So can you beat people up and leaf them alive?

Maybe with hand-to-hand but not with other things like sword, axe.........

Yes, you can beat them up using hand to hand, but like DzD said, if you use a weapon, you will kill them.
In Gothic, you could "knock out" someone with a weapon, and still not kill them. In MW, if you use a weapon and try to knock someone out, they die.
Personally, my Hand to Hand skill isn't high enough to knock anyone out, but I have been knocked out by some NPC's after they caught me pickpocketing....  I didn't have the heart to kill 'em, so they beat the snot out of me....I had to get up and run away!

And at level 1 they're tougher than you if you try and go hand to hand with them. You're losing stamina by punching them AND getting punched by them.
Granny Dark Elf: "Take this!" *crack* "And this! *crack* "And one of these!" *crack*
Argonian hits the floor. Shakes his head and starts to rise after granny lands two more low blows in. Gets to his feet.
"Get back down there!!!" *CRACK!* *lizard groan* *suck floor*
*repeat for 15 minutes*

Yes, they don't react very positively, Danicek~ You'd better be sure about trying it before you go in with flying fists!! Until you get knocked down (or knocked out) all that gets damaged is your stamina. Once your stamina hits zero, your health begins to be affected. So, in theory, it IS possible to kill someone with hand to hand, and they sure try to kill you!
If an NPC knocks you out, your stamina is gone. They keep beating you when you're on the floor, so your health suffers. When you finally get some stamina back and try to defend yourself, you're only a punch or two away from going down again. Tough NPC's can really make you suffer!!

As a clarification to all said so far, you can NOT beat peaople (or anything else) unconsious so you could rob them. You can however beat them until they drop, and after that you have about 2-3 seconds to do whatever before they get back up. But do bare in mind, that ALL creatures that have their stamina low are most unsuccesfull in every action they take (unless they're godly skilled at whatever they do).

Without spoiling you may end up hooking up with a guy who fights anyone you do, and he always fights bare fists, which means I always have to remember to go and finsh them off, because he just knocks them to the ground. |
