Hey there,

A long time ago, back when i was playing the Gold Box of SSI's Pool of Radiance, i was SOOO impressed by the huge battles they had in there, where you would join a side and have these massive 15 on 50 battles. They took forever to resolve, but they were a blast, and had that Lord of the Rings epic battle feel to them.

Anyone know of any similar D&D themed games (not RTS or turn-based strategy), where huge battles occur within the storyline, where you as the character(s) can join in?

Best,
Mortal Coil

Icewind Dale has a lot of big battles, at least compared to the other AD&D CRPG games.

Wizardry 8 has battle (I've seen) with more than 40 opponents. There is also the "cold war" between the Umpani and the T'Rang that is ongoing.
