Xenus (Boiling Point): Preview @ CVG

Computer and Video Games has previewed Deep Shadows' 1st person action RPG 'Boiling Point: Road to Hell'.
Maybe it's a hangover from the space race, maybe not, but it seems like developers from the former Soviet republics always have to shoot for the moon. From Operation Flashpoint to STALKER, it's the same thing - a boundless, almost foolish desire to push the limits to their utmost.

The latest preposterously ambitious title from the region is Boiling Point (formerly known as Xenus), a vast freeform shooter-cum-role-playing adventure set in the jungles of South America. We've been putting the Beta code through its paces this month, and have to admit it's an impressive undertaking.

I sure hope this game is as good as it sounds.

I'll be taking the risk and either pre-ordering or getting it the first day it's available so I'll give fair warning on the boards here if it sucks.

I have this game already pre-ordered for some time. It's a shame Atari isn't really giving it a decent publicity campaign.

It reminds me of Deus Ex (inventory, crosshair, ...), but in a different setting. I can't wait to try it out.
