The Heavy Shadows armor is the first armor that will allow you hand to hand combat with snappers. The rusty two hander is a good choice though.

Stay away from them until you have armor or a crossbow.

Oh... very cute Xen! Jaz is going to have Kittens when she reads that! I don't even want to know what happens when you get to the Orc lands.

You are so completely unhinged!

I tried to get by as a digger, very hard, I quit last night. Although I found that Herbert has some useful stuff on him if your starting out. Good luck on your quest.

I played goody goody last time! Hey... I'm so weak that I call it... um... a pre-emptive strike!

I fully plan on using the Ulu-Mulu and sparing Orc lives. It's going to be painful enough going through the temple with 30 points of armor and a 5 damage weapon without getting a tribe after you.

So you want to kill snappers do you? Well if you want to go snapper hunting you have to have the proper armament.

Lets start with a weapon:

If you are trained in 1-handed weapons (if your not, then don't even attempt attacking a snapper) than you need a good 1-handed weapon. Something that does over 50 damage. Why not just go for the best 1-handed weapon?
How does a sword that does 85 damage sound to you? If you’re interested, go back to the OC and beat down Scar. Then you will have one of the best weapons in the game!

If you’re more inclined to 2-handed weapons, than go and take down a tempeler in the SC. They have a good two-handed blade. Which ever weapon that you chose, make sure that you are trained in it! If are not, it will be a hard fight.

Next, you have to have some decent armor. Go and get the best you can. Then get a ring of ore skin (although ring of invincibility is nice) and an amulet of protection.

Finally, you don't want to take both those snappers on at once (not until you have become a veteran snapper hunter). So use a bow to aggravate one of them and have your sword ready! When they attack, hit them first. After a few blows, they will usually fall back. Take a few steps back, this will make them attack, use a FORWARD attack as they come for you. Repeat as often as need to kill them. Just make sure that they don't get to close to you, or they will rip you apart!

fire storm is very good, if you get to where they dont attack you but you can attack them charge it up all the way for the first time then start casting regular fireballs, and make sure you have at least 50 mana

EX wants to finish the game as a digger with a digger weapon... and no, I didn't burst a blood vessel after reading EX' stuff. We got to be patient with him - he's an Arch Villain .

All Arch villains are misunderstood ...

...as for those snappers, you can outrun them if you bunny-hop once in a while...

I wouldn't be so sure of misunderstood. I'm a real bastard when I play evil characters in CRPGs and RPGs.

I'll get those snappers with my pickaxe and digger armor yet.

Part 3 of DiggerQuest is up. Covering getting the list and touching on New Camp (I didn't spend much time there. Yet.)
