tnt2 & T&L?
   

According to win98 my viper770 tnt2 supports T&L. IS this possible, or is windows making fun of my video card again?

Nope that's not possible. TnT2 cards do not have that, you need a Geforce for that.
But perhaps it can sort of simulate T&L in software mode. I dunno, it's too long ago since I owned one
