E3: Let the Frenzy begin

For a gamer, E3 is the most exciting event of the year. For an editor, too - but also the most exhausting. So much news to report about, so many things to watch. Reporting about it and not being able to be there in person is hard, believe me. However, as every year, we have our man on the show, sending us his impressions and reports. Baff, who will be filing his articles from today on, will meet developers and publishers to learn about the things RPG fans are interested in. However, he's a single person, and he can't see it all, but as every year, we will try our best to bring you those tidbits others left out. And what we can't do ourselves, we will link you to. Promised.

MMORPGDot.com has kicked of pretty well, and we are really proud of this new site. I have been asked if RPGDot will now stop reporting about MMORPGs and move coverage to the new site completely. Certainly not. RPGDot was and is an all purpose RPG news site. We will continue to cover those games in general here, and bring you links to important features and announcements. However, MMORPGDot.com will bring you in-depth news that would overload our site here. Reviews, previews and articles about MMORPGs will move to MMORPGDot, however. I firmly believe that both sites will benefit from this.

Which leaves me to thank you for your continous support. We'll keep on doing our best to keep you informed, even better than ever.

E3 is always a nice time for us gamers indeed. Love to hear about new stuff.
And and always I can check Rpgdot for the news from there

Mmorpgdot.com is a great site, btw. I've bookmarked it and visit it frequently.
I'm curious how it will differ with the mmorpg news that is on the main site.

Keep up the good work!

Snoekie.

Easy answer: MMORPGDot is " minus RPGDot plus": minus all non-MMORPG newsbits, including all RPGDot MMORPG newsbits plus some more. Patch notes move to MMORPGDot, so do in-game announcements, invitation to player luncheons, fan site news and so on. On RPGDot, we will still carry announcements, reviews, previews and stuff like that.

Apart from that, MMORPG feature will move to the new site. Take the Warhammer Online Preview we posted today as an example. It would have been a RPGDot feature and is a MMORPGDot feature now.

It's a try to attract a different kind of fans to the network. So far, we felt that we are a great place for single player RPGs, but lacked somewhat in covering MMORPGs. Having it all on one site would have been overwhelming, so we decied to take the approach we have chosen.
