Delete spell message, why, I don't know what I'm doing... |
|
At time durring the game I start getting a message "Do you want to delete XXXXX spell", every time I try to cast.
I don't know what i'm doing to start this, I must be hitting some key or some thing.
The only way I can get it to stop is by closing the game and restarting.
What's happening, and how do I turn it off?

I had this yeesterday, I beleive it has something to do with capslock being activated (although while the game is running, the indicator on my keyboard never lights up. Usually you can delete spess by pressing shift an clicking. So try hitting eiter capslock or shift before selecting the spell. You might also have to leave and reenter the menu before this works. But it should not be necessary to reload. |

There is some bug in the way the game stores key states, in this particular case it erroneously believes the 'Shift' key is held down. If you are desperate not to save\load\restart game, e.g. if monster respawn could kill you, perhaps actually holding 'Shift' down could rectify the issue. |

There is a known problem with SHIFT and CTRL remaining activated if you enter a menu with the key held down. Try holding down SHIFT and *then* entering the menu, releasing SHIFT and exiting the menu. Then see if it works when you reopen it.
I expect this'll be fixed in the upcoming patch, it shouldn't be too hard, just a state store and deactivate when entering a menu, and reload state when exiting. |
