Larian Studios working on more than Riftrunner |
|
This article at IGN suggests that Larian Studios is working on Divine Divinity 2, which will be the TRUE sequel to Divine Divinity, and Riftrunner is something like a sidestep in the Divine Divinity universe. Here's a bit from the short article:

From what we know, which is pretty much nothing, Divine Divinity 2 will be a "true sequel" to Divine Divinity, implying that it will follow the same storyline, involve the same people, and perhaps even also be a single character game, whereas Riftrunner delivers a new story arc in the same universe and incorporates full party-based play. Sequel...Sidestep. Apples...Oranges.
|

I really really loved Divine Divinity and i think it will make an excellent series and stuff, so i am really happy that they are working on them both. DD had a lot of replay value and that is one of the main things that i enjoy about games. Also DD had excellent 2d graphics, cool storyline, and fun gameplay. So basically i have very positive things to say about this newsbit and am looking forward to a new party-based game! |

If you read Riftrunner FAQ, they were also saying that DD2 was on the way. |
